The basic structure of a stereomicroscope includes a mirror body, which contains several sets of objective lenses with different magnifications; The upper end of the mirror body is equipped with a binocular tube, and five sets of prism groups are installed in the sealed metal shell at the lower end. A large objective lens is installed below the mirror body, making the eyepiece, prism, and objective lens form a complete optical system. After the object is magnified for the first time by the objective lens, the object image is rotated forward by a pentagonal prism, and then magnified for the second time by the eyepiece to observe the upright object image in the eyepiece. There are also coarse and fine adjustment handwheels on the mirror frame to adjust the focal length. The binocular tube is equipped with an eyepiece, which has an eyepiece adjustment ring to adjust the different visual acuity of the two eyes.
