Motorized Electronic Colimator

The working principle of a laser collimator is to converge a diverging light beam through one or a group of positive focal length lenses, so that the beam is parallel to the optical axis. For example, if the beam emitted from the tip of a fiber laser is small and diverges at a few degrees, the collimator can collimate the beam into a beam with a larger diameter but a very small divergence angle.

1.Connected Device:

Menu ‘Search for device’ ->select serial port, Baud, ID range, or default auto ->click search. After the actuator is successfully searched, data will be updated in the data curve window and the status bar at the bottom of the main window.

2.Monitoring of status information:

After connecting the actuator , the data graph will display realtime status information such as the position, current, and acceptance value (LAF, LASF systems) of the actuator . The bottom status bar will display information such as actuator temperature, fault, and connection status.

The numerical display of the top 5 data on the graph and the check box for whether to display the curve;

There are four buttons above the graph to pause, continue, clear, and restore the display range of real-time curves; Drag: Press and hold the right mouse button to drag the curve in the graph;

Zoom: Press and hold the left mouse button to select a certain area for enlarged display in the graph; Click the ‘Restore Coordinate Axis Range’ button, and the display range will return to normal;

Data axis range setting: The data range of each data axis can be set through the text boxes above and below the data axis;

Dragging of time axis: When the data curve pauses, you can drag the slider below the timeline to drag the timeline;

3.Control motion:

3.1 Dragging the slider or setting the text box to the right of the slider can control the position of the driven push rod.

3.2 The table below the position slider can be used to set the periodic reciprocating motion of the actuator.

3.2.1 After selecting the reciprocating motion form and setting the corresponding parameters, the driving type will perform reciprocating motion at the fastest speed.

3.2.2 After selecting a triangular wave or a sine wave, and setting the corresponding parameters, the driving type will move according to the set waveform.

3.3 The two buttons on the right side of the position slider can send clear faults and emergency stop commands to the actuator.

4.Parameter settings

4.1 After clicking ‘Read Parameters’, the software will display the internal parameters of the drive in a table.

4.2 Actuator ID, range 1-254.

4.2 Serial port Baud, which takes effect after being saved.

4.3 Overcurrent protection value, with a range of 300-0500mA.

4.4 Over temperature protection value, ranging from 200 to 800 .

4.5 The temperature return start value, ranging from 200 to 600 , should be noted that the over temperature protection value must be 50 higher than the temperature return start value, otherwise the parameters will be invalid.

4.6 Any parameter modification needs to be saved; otherwise, it will fail after powering off and restarting on the other side.

5. Chinese and English switching

Menu “Language” -> Select “Chinese ” or “English “.

This electronic collimator can collimate the optical fiber laser, and can work effectively over long distances; handheld type, convenient outdoor operation; high-precision electric head, quickly aim at the target. At the same time, this collimator is mainly used for obstacle clearance and is suitable for laser power not exceeding 2000W and laser NA value not exceeding 0.065. The laser band is around 1064nm.
